Not sure it will meet it’s £25,000 to £35,000 asking price?

Far to many mods for me and the gear stick is just an eye sore.

Yeah, I am looking at it, love the interior. Hate the alloys!

So it started life as a GLS not a GTi as stated in the ad?
That’s not so bad as lots of GLS cars out there and very few GTi left.

He said that he filled some cracks in the dash and then dyed it black... does this work on a MK2?

have a trawl of you tube for dash repair guides.theres plenty of kits about for small repairs but not sure how good these would be on big cracks, the biggest issue would be getting the correct texture and colour.

I wonder if there is any shill bidding going on...strikes me the format is open to abuse.

I do wonder what type of person would want to spend £20k+ on a fully restored & modified car. To most enthusiasts the greater part of the enjoyment is in making it your own creation, and never adding up what you spent!

£23k sale.

Best yet? Whether you love or hate what has been achieved, a good and worthy result for any Mk of Scirocco. I see The Market has a very nice Corrado Storm up next expecting 20k+.

I see mass produced Ford Capri's and the odd GTi Golf (frequently misquoted in my mind as being the first Hot Hatch when in fact, it was the Mk1 Scirocco by 6 months) and the like of the same era regularly reaching this sort of money and do wonder why the Scirocco has been almost forgotten, rarely making more than 5 or 6k for equally good if not better condition subjects.

Hopefully this will put right what should be!

They did well getting that price, must of been a couple of people who really wanted the car.

Perhaps I’ll sell my Mk1 for £20,000....

No I can’t as I’m to attached to it and to me it’s priceless:-D
