Scala Metering Head

Hi all, looking for some help re the metering head on my MK2 Scala, as having stripped it down it's in poor condition.

I'm currently weighing up getting it refurbished or trying to find a replacement, and wondering if there are any other model heads that will fit?

The model number on mine is 0438 100 150, which seem to be very expensive and hard to find. A refurb from KMI is around £400 I've heard, while a refurbished unit from Germany is £400-£500.

There are lots of MK1 Golf GTI units on eBay though for a fraction of that.
So are there any other models that people know will fit?

to be honest the heads ive swapped on my golfs seemed to have worked fine, even with differing numbers.. you can get rebuild kits for sub 50£ rather than pay 400£ for someone to do it for you.. again ie not done this myself but seems to be 1 shim and lots of orings and washers, if you can record the turns to remove the screws in each port then you may get it back running ok.
