Mk1 Windshields

I'm starting a restoration on a 1981 Scirocco,1.7L, but before I take the cracked windshield out I need to find a replacement.
I contacted the local Glass shop they said they found one in the USA for $1,200. That's just about what I paid for the car.
I'm looking for a few body parts also.
Any good links for those items.
P.S. I'm not in the UK but Canada, not like that will help at all..

This is the only form I'm on. This was the first car I bought a 1981 Scirocco, I sold it, and 40 something yrs later I found another one. Love these cars so I want to restore it, there's a little rust but I can fix that. There is some around the windshield, and that's cracked so if I take it out to repair the rust the windshield will break and then its useless.

Pilkington classic glass do them. Not very expensive
