Thanks!
The Golf is my wife's daily, its done 236k. It drives really well, but it will need some bodywork doing this year.

The Scirocco isn't daily at the moment, but may be sometime soon.

Your Cabrio looks great for a daily driver too!

My Golf sounds like your wife’s car, it’s done 290,000 miles and needs the paint work doing as it’s never been painted so the paint is thin around the corners, no more t-cutting allowed.... I’ve known the car since it was 6 years old as my mother owned before me.
I did fit a different re built engine at 270,000 as it was burning a lot of oil, 1L per 1000 miles and bottom end started to knock on idle, it’s still got a standard DX engine.

I’ve had a couple of Mk2 golf Gti and really enjoyed them, shame I’ve only had them for about 9 months each as can’t afford to run 3 cars... back then you could buy a Mk2 Golf GTI for under £800 and it would have 12 months MOT and car tax which stayed with the car. Prices of Mk2 Golf GTI have gone up a lot in the last few years.
