Vibes/humming turning left at speed

Post by the edmundator »

Not on my Scirocco, but on my mk.2 Golf - I have noticed a vibration and humming noise from the front-left (I think) of the car when turning even slightly left. It's most noticeable at speed and seems to be most apparent around 70mph. I wondered whether this might be a front wheel-bearing, or is something else more likely?

wheel bearing most likely. jack it up and check for play and/or roughness

Thanks, I think that'll be a job for the garage.
