Hi all,
Due to the vacuum leak I was having earlier I decided to also replace the carb flange but I have misplaced one of these pieces.
Are the needed or would any right sized washer do the trick?
Thanks,
Chris

The carb has been refitted onto the car but it won't start now. I noticed 4 washers on the ground after it was put back on and the car won't start at all now. The starter motor works fine but it just won't fire up at all.
These are two of the washers. They all have a split in them.

those washers i think go on the 4 m8 hold down nuts in the carb base.
if you tuned the car with a carb leak its not unusual for it not to start as all the settings will be wrong.
check all the basics including your vacuum pipes are connected up and the right way around.
its innevitably something simple.
Nothing was changed to the carb when I had it off. Fuel is getting to the carb but it's just not firing up. I've replaced the rotor arm, dizzy cap, coil pack, spark plugs and ht leads. The spark plugs were fitted before I took the carb off so I know that they are fine. Just stumped as to why it won't fire up.
Also it wouldn't fire up with the old leads, dizzy cap rotor arm and coil pack.

Just tested coil number 1 and no spark from it at all. Had the ht lead connected to it and held it on the rocker cover then on the carb brackets while the engine was cranking.

Can you post up a picture of the dissy cap and ht leads.
You may of knock off a wire somewhere, it must be a simple thing as it ran before you changed the carb flange?
