Re: clutch cable bulkhead problems
as you can see the linkage arm bolts to the clutch lever with a standard m8 bolt through a hole conveniently already in the clutch pedal.
i haven't bolted it in properly year but 2 m6 nuts are needed to fix the main body of the unit to to bulk head

Re: clutch cable bulkhead problems
apologies for the late pictures I've not been very well the last couple of weeks and have had to catchup on a backlog of work since last week.
as you can see its a really good bit of kit and would recommend it.
only downside is the need to enlarge the clutch cable hole but other than that its well worth it.

Re: clutch cable bulkhead problems
great james , what you can do inside the cab is cut a bit of 25 x 3 or 5 mm flat bar then bolt up across the 2 studs for additional support , looks way neater with the cable not draped over the motor , but a pleasure seeing the guys sticking them in , will sort a lot of hassles out , seen 2 many golfs with butchered firewalls

Re: clutch cable bulkhead problems
Hi, sorry to revive an old thread but are these still available? If so I'm definitely interested. Got through a couple of clutch cables and would like a more permanent solution that doesn't involve hacking the bulkhead about.
Thanks

If Chris - mr alpine92 - doesn't have a spare one I can sell you mine as I'm unlikely to be fitting it.

Re: clutch cable bulkhead problems
@red rocco you will still need to drill holes in the bulkhead to fit this mod.
alternatively make yourself a large repair plate and bolt it into position.
do not weld it as the bulkhead flexes with the press of the pedal and will crack.

Hi just read your post, just wondering if you have any more of these kits please? Or if you have a contact for the company that produces them?

Re: clutch cable bulkhead problems
Hi, sorry for the late reply, definitely interested, just fitted a bulkhead patch not too happy with it as getting the cable to line up without rubbing is a nightmare! Just wondering how much you want for it?mr.brown wrote:If Chris - mr alpine92 - doesn't have a spare one I can sell you mine as I'm unlikely to be fitting it.
