Wanted Interior bits for MK2 Scirocco

Post by liam_0404 »

Hi,
I have a cracked dash and a few other interior bits (headlining, a few panles) could do with swapping out. Anyone have any of these for sale or from a car they are breaking. Happy to travel etc. Don't need seats as mine are pretty good.
Liam

Newton commercials do new headlining, you'd be lucky to remove a second hand headlining without ripping it. You'd be very lucky to find a dash which is not cracked. You can get repair kits but I've not tried it myself.

Okay thanks, I have thought about just getting the headlining redone.
I've seen you can get some leather that goes over the old dash but won't probably look the best so it might just end up staying as it is!
Great thing about a 30 year old car, parts you need are never available!

In my opinion the the leather dash cover looks a bit pants. You could always get it flocked, that's what I'm going to do with one of mine.

Think around £80 for a dash. Google it, its what motorsport teams do to dash's to cut down on reflections.

Hmm. Found one in Bristol - BHP Autoflock, anyone heard of them? Can't see a lot of recent activity though.

Search Facebook for companies and see who is still active, then check there main site. I'm using Banbury trousers for some bits at the moment

For some reason it keeps changing flock-big to trousers on here. Maybe thinks it's a rude word.

Not sure if I'm a fan of the flocked look! Want to try and retain the original style
