Another high beam blue light issue

Post by big_wig_074 »

Not the same as any other I've seen on the forum. The headlights work, as do the high beams. And when I start the car the blue light also works. But..... About 5-10 ,minutes later the blue light stops working, but the headlights are all still fine. I've swapped the clocks, the indicator stalk for a new one, I've tried 2 wiper stalks, I've stripped the switch in the wiper switch and cleaned it all out, I've pushed the connections on all the plugs. I'm at a loss. Mot retest is tomorrow so I think I'll quickly set up a wire from the high beam lights to the White blue wire in the back of the clocks but has anyone got any ideas of the actual fault? Thanks

HOPEFULLY sorted, the connector on the back of the fuse board wasn't quite pushed in, seems to have worked, but who knows, as it always worked at the beginning of a journey.

MOT passed!! im totally with you on electrics, bloody annoying. looking for broken wires, dodgy earths, loose connections, melted fuse boards, stripping switches apart and cleaning them, modifying bulbs to fit in bulb holders that are no longer available etc....
hopefully this continues to work.
