hmmmm vr6 rocco??
hey all, have been offered a vr6 mk3 golf and i'm thinking of sticking the motor in my rocco, if anyone has any info and guides and sites on doing this , as much info as possible would b much appreciated, havent bought it yet coz i wanna see how much work it will be 1st :)

I've been looking into this recently matey and found it to be far too much work, have decided on 1.8T instead for mine

its alot of fabrication with no clear cut way around it, all that i have seen have been done differently so if your looking for a how to then you may struggle although there is way more room for it in a mk2 than 1.

i'm not scared of any welding :D just need someone good with the old measuring and the brain to fit something into something it's not sposed to be in
would be a good learning curve to say the least

If Mike fitted a VR6 into a MK1 then I'd guess there would be loads of room in a MK2. Go for it!

i reckon it's about time someone fitted a non-vw engine into a rocco. can i interest anyone in a volvo 2.3T from a V70 T5?

That would be amazing. Was going to get an 850 T5. It was well quick and that was in a big estate. c'mon, someone's gotta want it! comes with engine loom, ecu, clocks and whatever other bits of the car you'll need/want to get it running. it's even got a new cambelt on it
