Re: Show & Shine
Congratulations on finishing it off and getting it to a show, I would love to see it in the flesh any other shows planed or are you going to the Scirocco register meet in August?
What is it with old AA badges, there seems to be loads of them appearing on VW's?

Re: Show & Shine
Haven't updated this for a while...
Still on the stock wheels and I haven't got round to getting either set of caps painted to match yet :(
Anyway some pics...
Hiding behind the daily car
At a local classic show
The engine bay after a quick wipe over, original and honest!
Spotted these two at the show and there was a mk2 but I didn't get a picture

Re: Show & Shine
Had a good summer of shows, last one now before the car comes off the road again for winter.
Few pictures from today and always nice to go home with an award.

Re: Show & Shine
Been a little while since I updated this.
I had been offered an indoor spot at Ultimate Dubs this year, unfortunately I couldn't make it this weekend :(
Been looking for a Nissan to replace my current every day car and finally found the one.
Anyway back to the Scirocco, I've replaced the rear washer jet, repeaters and a couple of other small bits just to improve the overall look. Mainly been concentrating on the front end. Replaced the indicators with NOS items, got myself a red stripe grille, some original style plates, swapped the AA badge and finally not to every ones taste fitted fogs which I am going to use with Hella covers. I also replaced the number plate trim which I had freshly painted in satin black.
Because I am using a NOS bumper on the car it didn't have fog brackets so I stripped the plastic today, had the fog brackets powder coated, coated the metal frame in underseal and rebuilt.
Finally with parts been hard to come across for the Mk2 I met forum member Zac a few weeks ago who was breaking his car, I've got a few spare parts now for the car and quickly running out of space so had to be creative with storage.

Re: Show & Shine
Took the Scirocco to the first show of the year, got inside at Elsecar and also managed to get an award which was nice considering the quality of cars on display.
