washed and now wont start???

Just spend 2hours cleaning the scala and now the damn thing wont start, was running fine all day but now nothing, turns over but wont fire, i havent cleaned under the bonnet but did give the filler cap a blast do u think i mite have got abit of water in the tank???

doughtfull unless you have a hole in the filler neck.
just do a quick check under the bonnet and give the dizzy cap a wipe as well as leads and stuff then go from there.
when waters involved i would check for spark first as its an easy one to check for then go down fueling issue route.


I dont mind project cars but I HATE SANDING!!!

Check fuel pump relay, remove it then refit.
If no difference get a big bit of wire and short out the 2 bigger connections for the fuel pump relay (with the relay removed) this should make the fuel pump run all the time even with out the ignition on and try and start the car.
Don't leave the fuel pump running for to long with out the engine running.

All sorted, dizzy cap knackered. Fitted new one and started straight away

these cars usally are a simple fix.

Also worth fitting a new rotor arm if you did not replace it.
