Didn't you say it was on coilovers to begin with? And you have replaced them with coilovers? I'm confused!!! Aha!

Out of interests what was your quote like for the re-spray?

Ah it was on cheap nasty coilovers, made the whole car shake and rattle to bits, I changed the hight plenty times with no avail, came to the conclusion that cheap suspension is cheap for a reason.. No damping and Spring rates far to high for car but these st coilovers have sorted the job out, the ride is so good it's nearly like my mk3 scirocco

As for painting I've been quoted £1800 and he said it will be more than a flash but never a show car finish and I have to strip car.

Not been on for a while, got the fronts on but forgot to mark the dredded camber bolts on the old coilovers, I could set it at work but think I'll take it to local alignment place for adjustments

But anyways the ride qualify is amazing, the car is down quite abit but you can't tell via ride quality, damping is spot on, matches the spring rates perfectly. Just need camber sorted as it loves pulling to the left and wheels are all over the place

Don't worry to much about marking the camber bolts as I found there is a little moment before the adjuster works and even if you did line it up there will be a good chance it will be out. Make sure you are happy with the height as adjusting it may throw out the camber again.

How low can you go roughly before the drive shaft hits the chassis? I'm not fan of sump scraping orr replacing shafts every Saturday haha

if used the spirit level method to set camber whats the ideal setting if you get me?
Sounds like its a case of trial and error and how it feels on the road :|

With the banks being closed I can't put money in to Order wheels so
Decided to pull front hubs off to put new wheel bearings in, no noise coming from them but slight play in drivers side. Will paint hubs and bottom arms whilst I'm on.

My thread looks boring with just text. I'm using iPhone 6 Plus, how do I get pictures onto the forum?

Download the photobucket app from the AppStore it's free and you can upload images to that and copy the forum link directly from the app and paste it into here... Easy peasy

Back to work for just 1 hour shift so went down to revolution motor store in Gateshead. Turns out they don't do ronal turbos so I've seen some dare Rs wheels. Bbs imatations I know but I'm not putting wheels on that cost more than the car it's self! Anyways came back and pulled the front hubs off for some love. Waiting on Euro car parts to arrive Image

So just as I was having fun in the workshop the phone went, got called back into work. So anyways as you can see in the pictures below I used a 46mm socket on the press side and a old bearing casing from a Renault master to allow the bearing to be pressed into... 4 tonne and it slid right out, would have been a long day with a hammer :-D
