has anyone relocated the bonnet release lever from the passenger side to the drivers side?
ive just smacked my head off the rear view mirror for the last time! :ire:


I dont mind project cars but I HATE SANDING!!!

Should not be any problem, cable runs through the bulk panel on the left to the rightside under the bonnet.
Just turn all the parts around, lever could be the most difficult but the rest is an easy turn around.

If needed any parts let me know, have plenty of them. :-D

i will be tackling this shortly
i did wonder if a mk2 golf release lever would fit as its on the right side.

Well, Golf 2 parts are easier to come by, so go to a scrappy, take one out and see if you can use it. :-D

I open the passengers door and pull the bonnet leaver from there, no problems with banging head on a mirror. :-)
