Wash/Wipe issue

Post by Macc »

...or is it? Engage window washers then have to engage wipers separately, ie, they dont come on automatically, normal behavior or something I need to look into?

The wipers should also move when washing the window, what number relay do you have fitted?
99 is a good upgrade as then you also get programmable intermittent wipers from 1 sec wipe up to about 1 minute.

Fitted to lots of later cars, Mk3 golf upwards so if you have a scrap yard local have a look there as they are pricey of ebay but I don't like spending money!

In relay 10 at the minute is 19! Quite a ways under 99!

19 is the standard wiper relay.
99 is a programmable intermittent "upgrade" and was never fitted to our cars, but serves the same purpose and has the same pin setup.

To use the programmable feature...

Turn on intermittent wiper.
Turn off before it has finished wiping.
Wait the desired length if time and turn on again.
All subsequent wipes will wait the amount of time that you programmed into it by waiting between turning off and on again.

I have fitted one in my car, my gf's car and our t25 camper.

Ben.
