Question for those with headlight washers

Post by duggers »

I've retro fitted the front bumper and headlight washer system off my parts donor onto my GTX and have wired it in using a relay triggered by the screen wash pump feed and powered direct from the battery.
It works fine but seems to push a very large volume of water out. I get quite a pool of washer fluid left on the ground after use.
I can't see any restricter in the pipework on parts diagrams so my question is do your headlight washers do the same?

Apparently the dreadful paint on my Rocco is PATINA....

you know those air stones and pump equipment you get for fish tanks?
they have restictors for controlling the airflow and work really well for thinks like this.
dont forget the washer jets have to be really powerful to blast crud off your lights as there's no wipers to help wipe the crap off.
my beamer has headlamp washers and it pretty much blasts the whole front of the bloody car when it gets going.
this is also why cars fitted with headlamp washing systems have such massive washer bottles due to how much screen wash your going to use

I dont mind project cars but I HATE SANDING!!!
