How bizarre, I have been fiddling around with the 4 small headlights I have just bought today, finished painting them, now waiting on the adjusters to come from VW that I ordered today.
The strips that sit on the brackets look different to the ones you have on this thread. I could take a picture of the one's I have and send it by normal email to you.
Any good?

Never owned a jetta, but many years back i broke up a early mk2 rocco that had the blanking plates for the inner spots.
Im now thinking they could be from that..
There must be a site where i can tap in the part numbers and find out what they are from
Just recalled what there from ian.
They are from a D plate passat with the bar grill, they slide in to the last grill bar that sits on the bumper. Then they sit under the inner spot lamps and headlamps...Bloody hell taken me all day to think what there from....
