Love this! I have been looking at similar seats from GTS. I would like the Recaro Rallyes as found in the Junior Cup cars. Where are your's from?

Wow, i really like it, and that is coming from a hardcore oem look guy, the details you pin into this build is quite staggering.
Pretty entertaining as well mind you !

Arun came round a few weeks ago to hide / delete the bumper mountings.

Most of my spare time has been taken up hi-building, sanding, hi-building, sanding etc my block and gearbox to get the required finish. I have ran into problems with non of VHT paints being the same colour. Not happy! I think I am going back to trusty plasticoat.

This kind of shows the finish I have achieved. I had to stop myself! Next task is the head!

I have also had a skinny long N/S Driveshaft made at Northwest propshaft out of two O/S driveshafts fusion welded together. That should give me enough clearance fingers crossed.

Glad you are still going at it.
One question how do you get the bumper on with the studs sticking out? Mine slides in at fits flush then the bolts have to be screwed in.....

The brackets un-bolt from the irons. So I will fit the brackets and then bolt the iron on. It's all very fiddly tbh haha!

Oh yeah, never thought of that.....
You should not really need to take the bumpers off once the car is finished and they are bolted on for the last time.

I have downgraded as much of my dash down to basic spec as I can using Swallowtail and S1 Golf parts. my favourite piece is the headlight switch without the dimmer! less more!

Getting it rolling and on the floor was hindered with the rear wheel fitment. once I had corrected the tow it sat like this.

Arun has come to save the day even though he has been very busy. He made this jig on tuesday and now he can get chopping away at the beam! Im only going for 15mm a side then I can space it to perfection.

Arun has been working on getting my seats mounted and after a bit of head scratching we sorted it. We also retro fitted the early seat belts.
