I have a couple of mk1s that I won't be driving especially soon (both under construction).
I sold all my mk2s before I moved house, in part because I owned especially nice ones that I worried about.
I sold my MX-5 when my daughter arrived, since you can't even leave mummy at home and strap the baby into the passenger seat; you can't turn off the airbag.
I bought an automatic, diesel estate.  It's very practical.
I had nothing fun to drive.
I started looking at mk2s.  I couldn't find a nice one that was also sensibly priced.
I put up a wanted ad on the forum.
A chap called Robin offered me his white Scala.  One of the really white ones, with the white lights and the white interior.
I hate white cars.
It was sensibly priced and seemed good, without being a show-pony.
Our North Wales correspondent offered to have a look for me.  The report was favourable.
I negotiated a price.

It was quite a bouncy, firm ride home.  Fortunately I don't have any fillings (I didn't have any at the start of the journey either).
