I've split my flange!

Post by Farmshow »

Hello,

I need some help! My fuel pump managed to work it's way loose on a long journey the other day. The pump seem fine but the 1cm thick plastic flange that fits between the pump and the engine block has split in half, with the lower half lost somewhere on the M1!

My car is a gt2, 1.8 carb so only has the mechanical fuel pump in the front. I can't find a new flange anywhere! Does anyone know where I could get one from? Or does anyone have one lying around in a box of spares that they would be willing to send me?

Any help to get me back on the road would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,
Dave.

Sounds painful!

I think you're looking for part number 035127301C, worth getting the o-rings too (One ether side of the flange) - 049127311A

The internet is a wonderful place. Thanks for the very direct and quick help! Just need to convince him to post it over this way and I'm all sorted.

If he will not ship to the UK I have a friend in Germany where you could have it sent.

Further P+P wil then be easy.

I got one from Arnold Clark vw a couple of years ago. The wee boy in the parts dept was obviously to embarrassed to say flange so kept coming up with strange names for it. Was very funny...
