Hi again guys, sorry to keep bothering you all with the constant questions but your all so knowledgable it's very good for advise!
Basically I was carpeting the rear of the scirocco today and did rear wiper delete, upon removing the rear washer bottle (as a friend wanted it for his golf. I notcied a pump sitting underneath it with a plug not plugged in and a air line going to it, now I always assumed they were too old to have central locking but now I'm thinking maybe they do?
I plugged it back in and tried it, boot + fuels flap locks with drivers door but passenger door doesn't and the pump can be heard whinning on for quite some time so I'm assuming maybe a leak? Also even when unlocking drivers door and pump going again the boot remains locked until the pump is disconnected via the connector. So for the mean time I've left the pump unplugged as I have no idea what's going on!
Any advise would be much appreciated, if I can get it working properly Id happily use it!
Regards
Matt

Re: Central locking ?
There's a diagram for the central locking system in Haynes.
As far as the boot goes, you can over-ride the Central locking so that it stays open (I think), my Golf has central locking and you have to be careful with how you leave the boot lock.

Re: Central locking ?
It was an old design by the end of production, so a lot of the late GTIIs have as many options on them as the dealer could find - I had one with electric windows, electric sunroof and central locking (which is about as much luxury as you'll get in a Scirocco!).
Having said that, I think Storms, GTXs and the like often came with central locking too. My Golf is an F-plate and central locking was one of the options my grandmother selected.
