up and coming rebuild

:newbie: After cosford i plan a nose to toes rebuild of my rocco,no probs there.But as i have got a mk3 golf gti as a runaround im thinking will the engine,trans and running gear fit?
Can eny one offer eny info?

the mk3 engine and gearbox will fit in the rocco, but it has to be removed from the subframe, and you got to also add the rocco engine mounts to the mk3 engine. There are kits that allow you to use the mk3 cable change gearbox set up if you want, or like many others just change the clutch, and flywheel and use the rocco gearbox with the rocco driveshafts.

What mk3 golf engine is it btw ?

thanks for the info,
its a 2ltr 8 valve unit and i would like yo use the injction system aswell.
