Dent repair recomendation

Post by james butler »

Due to some toerag opening a door onto mine I've now got a crease in the passenger door.
Can any one recomend a good dent puller/ removal service operating in South birmingham?
Cost isn't really an issue, it's a matter of how good they are.
I tried googling it and there's hundreds of them, usually private firms with no obvious good or bad reputation.
Alternatively has anyone got a mint passenger door for mk2 in pearl dragon green?

well Ive bit the bullet and called out "chips away" just waiting for an appointment for them to come look at the dent and give me a quote, i will let you all know how i get on.
so tempting to take the interior off and try it my self but with how cold it is, i think im most likely going to crack the paint if i do it wrong.

Sort of creased right in the middle above the rubber strip,
I think It could be massaged out with the right tools but I'm more worried about the damage to the paintwork.
The chips away guy wanted 150 to fill and paint the door.

You can get dent pullers where they glue on a few plastic tags in and long the dent and fix the tags to a sort of brace then turn a handle to pull the dent out, they then get a heat gun to soften the glue and remove the tags, bit of polish and a buffer and you won't see where the dent was.
Seen it done on a van and you can't really tell there was ever a dent there.
