Hi,
I had a guy in Dunfermline do the loom for my 20vt conversion. You can post him your loom and ecu etc and he will send it back ready to plug in and turn the key.

I will get you his contact details sent over in a PM later today.

I think I paid about £350 for it but it was definitely worth it for the convenience if nothing else. May be less for that ecu and loom depending on the work involved.

Ben.

My Cousin works there, he's been there 15 odd years and like me loves old VW's but Golf's so won't hold that against him!
He's do lots of conversions to his own car, Mk2 Golf which he bought as a VR6, then he supercharged it, rust got hold of the body so he got another shell and changed everything over, fed up with the weight of the VR6 changed to a 1.8 20v Turbo which was rebuilt to put out 330 BHP. Owned a Polo Mk2, couple of Bora's and currenty drives a Mk5 Gti as current daily so as you can tell he know's his stuff and from what I hear from him they have got experience in old and new VW's.

Bit of a late response..but if you haven't already found someone to do the conversion, it's not actually that hard if your car was originally a fuel injection model.
I can look out the notes I made when I did mine if it would be of use.

Chris,

I bit the bullet and sent it to midlandvw. The notes would make a good read for me if you can find them. If not, no dramas

Thanks

Zak
