Re: electric window switches
Yeah they look like the ones which are are there at the moment, however they don't fit which is the issue

Re: electric window switches
Correct, these are the same as you already have and will not fit, only if you have later doorpanels with smaller holes.Jack92 wrote:Yeah they look like the ones which are are there at the moment, however they don't fit which is the issue
Have looked in my garage but do not have them, only the switches.

Re: electric window switches
To change to the earlier surrounds you would need the earlier switches as well, now that will not be cheap and hard to come by!
Is there not a way to secure them from the back, engineer some sort of holding device? If not as stated before maybe look for a door car and cut your own hole.
By the way, do the electric windows work?

Re: electric window switches
Thanks for the replies guys,
Yes they so work Ian however they look to be installed by someone (not factory). As mine is a 1992 and these are the later switches surely they are right? And the door card is wrong maybe?

Re: electric window switches
I didn't need to change the switches just the surround.
originally i hooked the old surround and used some black tape to cover the gap?

I've been trying to find them but I think they're part of an aftermarket kit fitted by dealers! will look on Ebay again. was it another VW model they were under?

Re: electric window switches
I gave up trying to get the surrounds in the end thinking of making something as I still haven’t found them.
