Rear windscreen jet removal and blown bulb.

Post by R.Webster »

Hi. There is probably guan be a really simple answer for this, but as I've never had to do it until now, I just wanna be certain I'm doing it correctly.
I need to take off the rear windscreen jet to check/change the pipe. However I'm unsure on how to get it off. Is it as simple as it looks and just pulls off?

Also while I think about it, I have a bulb gone behind my speedo/rev counter. Again, I've not had to access this area of the car yet so again I'm not entirely sure on how to do this.

Any advice is much appreciated. And I apologise if you're banging your head on the desk as these two probables are soo simple.

Cheers Guys.

The rear washer jet does indeed clip out but be careful not to break it as they become fragile with age.

The dash bulbs are still available from the dealers for a quid or so. Easy to change, just remove the clocks and they twist in and out.
The Haynes manual has a good write up on clock removal.

Rear washer jet looks like this underneath, you can see the clips etc someone else damaged the paint and broke the top off trying to remove it before the we got the car.
