Ian very selflessly came all the way across London tonight and we tackled a few problems at his mate Spencer's house.

after looking at fuses, relays, and behind the steering wheel, we traced the indicator problem down to a dodgy hazard warning switch. it was changed for a new one and, hey presto, i have indicators.

also changed the blower fan switch. it still doesn;t work properly, leading me to believe the fan itself it knackered/old.

finally Ian fitted my new bosch battery for me when i was piecing my steering column back together.

Top work - cheers Ian

It was a pleasure Rick, glad you are back in love with the sweet GTi again. I still believe that the blower problem is down to the switch, try and source a genuine VW part.

Look forward to seeing your progress over the next few months.

Thanks to Marcus for picking up the new hazard switch and dropping it off for me/us. :good:
