I'm a bit stuck to be honest. Removed the old/new wiring loom that doesn't have cold start (white plug) and tried plugging in the new/new loom with cold start and now the bloody fuel pump won't prime.
Any suggestions welcome

Re: Fuel pump not priming
Put the original loom back on?
Not joking - were you having any cold starting problems without the cold start valve operating?
My 16v starts better without it, and Sean's wouldn't start with it connected (both being 'bitsa' type cars, which I think yours is now?)

Re: Fuel pump not priming
Th2 "original" loom isn't that at all. It's from a much older car that was fitted 18months or so ago. To be honest I'm not bothered about the cold start, the Bandit is hardly a getaway car but it was there and I thought I may as well try it.
Tried putting the original one back on and the failure is still there. Luckily I have spare replays, fuseboxes and brand new pump, the engine cranks but there's no priming. It was priming a few days ago but I'd got the wires on the coil round the wrong way so it wasn't catching. Wondering if i've spanked the pump.
