Can anybody enlighten me on how to release the 3 part bit that secures the clutch cable to the gearbox arm as the haynes is useless? I just want to release that end to get it up in the air so I can get some lube to run down the cable inner.

Re: Clutch cable fixings
Iirc to release the cable from the release shaft all you do is unscrew the cable by turning the adjusting screw.
Do this until the cable is loose and then push it down as it will not free itself under pressure.
Once the release lever is loose and floppy it should come off.
The very bottom part of the three part system is what keeps it in place.
Good luck.

Re: Clutch cable fixings
Bit of wood and a jack to lift the clutch arm out of the way and just slide the clip off (will make sense if you look at it) then you don't alter the adjustment of the clutch
