Hey all
My Rad popped at the weekend
Where the top metal bracket goes into the radiator to hold it in place, it seems to have pushed through the plastic and in effect popped the radiator.
Unusual place for it to go, i thought it was the overflow pipe back to the coolant reservoir at first, so snipped the hose back incase it had split a bit and re-attached. Only 10 miles down the road for the coolant sensor to start flashing on the dash (nice to know it works i guess?!) and see coolant peeing out of the bracket.
Quite an impressive fountain of coolant spurting out i must say!
Anyway, got a new rad on order with Eurocarparts
Anything else i should be looking at replacing at the same time?
Hoses are all good as not long replaced as many as i could
Im going to remove the shroud and fan and clean them up nicely too
WiLL......
Radiator popped..... anything else i should look at?

Are you going to re-use the fan switch? If so then get a new washer for it and give it a clean up.
Make sure you don't lose the little rubber grommet things that the radiator locates into!

Assuming the rad didn't look crusty and knackered, check that the system isn't getting over pressurised. I'd also make sure you flush it out lots and lots and then lots more.
