Removing Bump Strips

Post by crashbanggg »

I'm contemplating removing my bump strips, as from this quick Photoshop, I think it makes the car look a lot 'cleaner'

However I do have concerns before removing them. I've seen how to do it from this thread http://www.sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/ ... ip#p102773 , But I am concerned once I remove them that there will be a dark red stripe where the sun hasn't been able to fade it? If I did remove them and this was the case, would it be possible to reattach them to hide the strip? If so, what would I use?

Cheers

If you do have a darker stripe, a machine polish will probably get rid of it. If you do want to reattach them, is use a PU adhesive/sealant, aka black snot
