boot lock

Hey up peeps
Wonder if any off yous can help put my key in the boot lock pushed it in to twist the lock to open but it wont unlock and stuck inwards
Can I pop it open from the inside and do I need a new lock

Maybe you have sorted this by now. But as there are no replies... you should be able to unscrew the lock from inside the boot. I had to unclip the 3rd rear brake light plastic and unscrew the metal bit (from memory, so bit fuzzy).

My problem was that it wouldn't lock so bent the latch with a hammer (didn't go down well on here :chortle: ) but works a treat since.

Maybe yours is a similar problem. Or the metal loop may have worked loose. It might make sense when you remove it.

Spray with WD40 should help it pop out and may free up the mechanism without dismantling.
