Rusty tank, need some work - MK2 GT '88

Post by KB88 »

Sadly the guy who did a grand job last time on the tank has retired. I should have remedied it with plastic filler neck but couldn't source one for awhile and since gave up, replacing inline filters as i go.
I have no idea who could do this work again in my area (Cheltenham and Gloucester). Would any of you know someone you'd recommend to do this kind of work?

Cheers :hi:

Probably cheaper and easier to buy a new tank!

I wouldn't bother trying to repair a tank, I agree with Ian. It's going to have to come off to be fixed, so why not just put a nice new tank and filler neck in. Well protected and maintained, you'll easily get 25 years service from them.

Paid up membership would get you a discount at GSF, or why don't you ask for money off, I never pay full price at GSF or EXP. If you don't ask!!!

£151 May seem high but it should last 20+ years so a no-brainer really.
