DX TTS..

Post by Dave Dorson »

So am I right in thinking the TTS is the brown sensor/switch in the coolant flange at the front of the engine/into the tophose?

If so, I think mine is kapput :(, it'd explain my "cold" misfire and starting issues too.

Can you still get these?, or are they another "hard to find" part?

Looking at how it works, I assume anything above 30*c should be 0 ohms, and infinite resistance when cold?

Yep thats the one.

They are almost impossible to find new now. I found a spare in a box of stuff after spending weeks going through every single Bosch agent I could find.

VW number is 043906163A

Bosch number is 0 280 130 214

there was a VDO alternative (also no longer available) i can get the number if its any use.

As I understand it they only run the 5th inkector anyway so should only have an effect on running for the first few seconds.

Cheers :)

VW want a fortune for it.

I've tested, mines actually OK, so I think my WUR is at fault.

Deep, deep joy.
