huge favour please. 2 wires in mk1 boot?

Hi
I have another favour to ask.
Could someone please take a look in the boot of their mk1 and look for a green wire with thin red stripe and a black wire with thin white stripe on the drivers side of the car beside the rear light cluster/washer bottle and tell me what they connect to please?

everything in the car seems to be working fine but just wondering why these 2 wires arent connected to anything
ive traced them back to the fusebox but cant work out what theyre for despite looking at rubjonnys legendary fusebox FAQ

Sounds like either the rear washer pump or rear wiper wiring.

Do you mean this green wire, fits to the rear washer pump.

The black and white wire goes into the loom which goes to the other side light then I think it goes to the rear indicator but not sure, it might stop before that and used for the number plate light, Ive not really look properly as it now bath time for my baby so will look again later and let you know, might be worth lookin to se if the passenger side indicator works on your car or the number plate lights.

yeah all the lights work and theres another wire going to the washer pump so the washer pump works
my rear wiper also works fine :s

Part 2.... Well had another look and heres what I found.
Green wire with red strip pluging into washer pump.

Then it connects to this end, you can also see a black and white wire next to it, it plugs into a black wire with grey strip.

Runs into a loom near the drivers side rear light, you can just see the washer bottle holder

You then get a glips of it going through the rear light wiring, it goes up past the rear number plate (Its not the number plate lights I've check and they are differnt wire.

You see it again on the passengers side rear light where it goes throught the light and off towards the front of the car.

i did connect the red and green wire to the washer and it worked so i was just left with the black and white wire and the black and grey wire and thats solved it

Do your parking lights work? Use the indicator with the ignition off, left signal only the left front and rear light work and right, only right work.

everything works and everything is connected up like yours now
the problem was that the proper connectors were missing on the wiring around the washer bottle and had just been replaced with spade connectors. they were all disconnected when i got the car too so i just plugged things in til everything worked but was left with 2 spare wires each time. now theyre all connected :)
