Hi guys .
Looking for some new mounting bushes for the rear suspension but having trouble finding them.
OEM part numbers are: 171 521 333 (top)
171 521 335 (btm)
Any clues as where to get them would be great, no l;uck with vw heritage or vw classic.
I just took mine off and the part number moulded into the OEM bush is 191 512 333, phoned my local VW dealer and they said thats not a current VW part number although the bush is clearly VW ? They said the part number should be 171 512 333, so I ordered them on spec. £6 summat each. I looked at the Heritage ones but OEM from main dealer, is cheaper (specially when you add on the Heritage postage !) IF they're the right ones when they arrive ?
No surprise that VW Heritage are more expensive than the main dealer! Mind, they can get parts that are no longer available.
I always try my main dealers first, one in Essex and one in Newcastle upon Tyne, the guys in the parts department in both are very helpful and will always go out of their way to find the part and even look for dealers that are holding the parts!

That's fine until you find your obscure part is only in stock in swindon. They know what's hard to get, they won't send it to another branch and its full retail or ****off. Even though I've got a trade account with them
