My first Rocco!

Post by PolishingGTX »

Just thought I'd pop on here as another member pointed me in your direction :D

After a weekend of negotiating the Deposit has been paid and I'm collecting Roxy on Wednesday :)

The advert Description.

1986 Scirocco GTX 1.8 injection. 12 months MOT; 6 months TAX. GTX model features the 1.8 injection engine, front and rear fog lamps, trip computer, double tilt sunroof, sport arches and skirts, red strips on grille, stripe sport seats (good condition, seat bolsters are in great condition). 37,000 miles (documented with Service history/ paperwork) and has been garaged when not in use (clear to see - inspection welcome). The bodywork on this car is very hard to fault. There are a few minor paint chips (no more than 10 on the whole car) and less than a handful of minor scratches. However this is far less than you would expect for it's age. I've had this sat next to restored sciroccos of a lesser age and the condition really is outstanding. There is no rust, corrosion or bubbling anywhere on the car. Under the car is as very clean and rust free. The exhaust has been replaced with original part (including a mid-pipe). As you can see from the pictures, the engine looks great - and runs the same - Always starts first time! The wheels on this car are superb! It has the famous Pirelli P-slot alloy wheels, with new tyres all round. Inspection welcome on request.

Picked this up today, Condition is stunning, For the record I'm a Pro Detailer ;)

Downside was a flat battery but as we went with a trailer it wasn't a wasted trip and the seller couldn't be more apologetic, I noticed on return the interior light switch was still in the on position, I think he was sat in it last night having one last look and left it on, It's now on trickle charge and will be fired up in the morning, he took a photo of it on the trailer and asked me to keep in touch, The rear seats and boot area don't look as they have ever been touched, The MOT's state it's covered a wopping 246 miles in the last six years

It's already generated a lot of interest just being sat outside work for the half an hour. Tomorrow I'll post up some pictures ;)

Looked good enough in the early pics but i'd love to see it after a proper detailing, paint correction etc. it would arguably be one of the nicest roccos in the country then :)
