To polly bush or not to polly bush ???

I have ordered a set of coilovers for my scala and I am going to replace the front top mounts at the same time
Has anyone used polly bushes on the rear top mounts and is it worth doing ?
Also think I might replace the front roll bar as it was advised on the last mot so might as well do polly ARB bushes
What do you think ????

I have been asking similar sorts of questions and have decided to go for OEM where possible. I think it depends what you are hoping to achieve but in any case in my experience it's probably easier and maybe cheaper to go Polybush over OEM. I've had OEM rear arb bushes on order from Heritage for 2 weeks now and not expecting complete order till the end of the month. Also the Rear beam pivots are not available anywhere that I can find so I've been forced to go Polybush there. Have heard good reports about Superpro so will be usng them.

Polybush are firmer and a bit stiffer. If you're fitting coilovers you've already decided that Oem isn't the way forward. Stay clear of poly engine mounts unless you want to rattle your teeth out though.
Decent coileys, poly bushes and a lower front brace and it'll transform the car. Anything standard simply cannot keep up.

I agree with Mr Funk. Ride comfort clearly isn't your priority if you've gone for coilovers, so you may as well carry on sharpening things up with poly bushes. Buy the decent ones I.e. Powerflex, though.

Cheers chaps the comforts has always been rubbish 40mm springs and cut down bump stops
So the coilovers should be a tad nicer but who cares the car does 1000 miles a year so it's not a big problem
If I fitted the lower brace would there be any clearance problems and what's the best make to go for ?

When it comes to suspension you get what you pay for. It annoys me that people choose to pay very little for coil overs then bitch about the ride whilst openly wondering why I spent so much on mine. I'm low and I have a smooth ride.
Brace wise they're pretty much all the same as its simply a bar that attaches the wishbones, clearance won't be an issue.

Go for it. Bumpier ride but makes the car even more responsive when it comes to handling if thats what your after. Otherwise just go standard. If you are contemplating a four branch of any description then put on the polly engine mounts as well. Your engine wont move and the manifold wont crack. I personally think pollys make the steering a bit lighter. Suspension wise, don't go for collies unless you are going to spend some serious dosh. With suspension you get what you pay for, but it is so worth it spending that extra bit.
