New user just bought a Scala last weekend, going to work on it this weekend, the headlining is shredded in the offside rear, and I have been trying to find out if you can get a new one anywhere? and how the hell do you remove it?!
Headliners are available from VW classic parts. I think Mr Funk on here was looking at getting some made up. It is held taught across the roof with wires and glued in under the rubbers at the edges. Best to start at the edges then unhook the cables.

or go at it a slightly different (and cheaper) route - once the old one is removed, get yourself some suitable cloth (ebay, dunelm etc) and a sewing machine, and use the old one as a pattern
To get it out cleanly, you need to have the windows out (or cut as low behind the seals as you can - pulling it's likely to rip it) as it laps over the edges of the panels above the windscreen and rear windows. You'll see how it is by pulling the top of the door seal down - it's just the same in the window apertures.
