Front Screen Washer Pump Not Working

Post by jimmy h »

It's a NEW one (pump), did a direct link with two leads from the battery tonight - it works that way but not off the Stalk.
Anyone know if the circuit goes through a relay or obvious connector - having just revisited my old Haynes Book - I now realise it is faeces and makes little sense.

Any tips would be very welcome.

You could fit a separate switch, AFAIK it doesn't have to work of the stalk for an MOT pass.

It does have a relay but couldn't tell you which one as my Haynes is 30 miles away! It does list all the relays in the Haynes.

Another thing you could check if it isn't the relay is the stalk itself, wwhip it off and give a good clean up of the metal connectors as it will probably have years of crap on it!

check the terminal connectors on the plug for corrosion, the most common cause for this is poor connection.

If it is not broken, Do not fix it !!!
