Does anyone know which other vw wiper motors fit a mk1? I've got a square plug for the electrical connection.
I can't seem to find a mk1 motor but remember something being said about upgrading to a different motor.
Thanks in advance.
Forgot to add its for the front.

Re: Wiper motor
I think that the early MK2's used the same single wiper set up.
Had a quick look on Google, this may interest you:

I would definately be asking your local dealer for the correct part number or see if you can read the one that is on your car.
I hope it helps mate.

Re: Wiper motor
I had a later (early mk2) motor fitted to my mk1. The plugs are different shapes, but it is easy enough to convert one to the other. It is also possible to modify a twin-wiper motor to fit if you can't find a single-wiper motor.

Re: Wiper motor
I fitted a 91 motor to my mk1. It was a long time ago but from what I remember I had to mount it at a slightly different angle and then just spliced the newer connector into the old loom.
