Post by rocco madness »

hi, can someone please confirm if relay no.99 (wiper delay relay) works with mk2s using MAF system? iv bought one but it dont seem to work, it does both speeds just wont do the delay thing, seller said check on the forums which i had already done before ordering. so if someone can confirm they have one in their car working then i shall copy and paste link to seller. thanks.

It works in my Mk 2 GTX and my Mk 1 injection cars. I believe quite a lot of us on here have one in their car.

To use - you put the wiper stalk to the 'intermittant' position and after the first wipe (or any wipe) of the blades, switch off and then switch back on after 'XX' number of seconds that you want the delay. 'XX' can be any number up to 45 seconds.

You may have to try it a few times, as when I first fitted one to my GTX, it took a few goes to get it working properly.

Works in both of my current cars, I even fitted one in my Peugeot so they aren't VW specific.

thanks guys, yeah iv tried several times to get it too work but its not having it, werid cos you think you would loose both the speeds if the relay was shot! :dash: oh well, see if the seller can do an exchange.
