Filler neck part number??

Post by rocco robin »

Ok Vw heratage via Germany have sent me the wrong filler neck for my rocco that have sent me the filler neck with the part code 533201129D
This is to short for my model does anyone have the part number for the longer one ???
Vw heratage aren't being very helpful they want me to chop and cut the one they sent to fit
But it cost well over £100 so there's no chance I will be doing that,
If no one has the right part number for the rocco which is the easiest mk1 golf filler neck to use and do you have the part number for that, sorry to be a pain in the ass but the car is off the road because of this and I need it sorted
HELP !!!!!!!

On ETKA, the part number would seem to be:

533201129C
fuel filler neck / F 53-E-022 075>> / F 53-E-022 075>>
/ "J.."

Image

However, what you have been supplied varies on the final digit of the part number, as D instead of C. However, VW Classic Parts website lists the "D" part as also being suitable for Sciroccos from the same starting chassis number (53-E-022 075):

Filler neck
Art.: 533201129D
Filler neck suitably for Scirocco 2 starting from chassis number 53-E-022 075

What year is your Scirocco? Does it have a full-sized or space-saver spare wheel?

If you've got a full-sized spare, you will not be able to buy a replacement new filler-neck from VW - the filler neck on these cars is longer. Your options are to find a second-hand one (good luck!) or modify a mk1 Golf filler neck to fit.

I'm not sure how anyone expects you to cut a filler neck that's too short to make it fit.

Check your chassis number to see if it's earlier than 53-E-022 075.....

Can you post a picture of the two filler-necks next to each other?

You could try a longer hose between the fillerneck and fueltank.

Part number 533 201 219 which is 255 mm.

I do not know how long yours is but that could be a solution.

Vw heritage have been on there going to send the 255mm rubber pipe but the filler cap will take 4 -5 weeks,
They are great at taking money off you and getting a sale but when it's comes to customer service and problems after the sale they are a joke and not a funny one!!!!!!!!

Does your original filler cap not fit the new neck?
