do mk2 scirocco manifolds/downpipes fit mk1 golfs? I have it in the back of my mind that they do?
Basically im doing a 16v conversion into a mk1 golf and to save a bit of cash until i can afford the custom stainless manifold of my dreams, i was thinking of using a 16v scirocco manifold & downpipe.
Is this possible? is it a direct fit or does it require a bit of chopping up?
Lastly if it will fit........dont suppose anyone has one for sale? LoL
Any help would be great!
P.S, I was a member on here before but for some reason my account dissapeared!

Yep, it'll fit but they are pretty rare - you'll be more likely to find rocking horse poo
Your best option will be to use the standard golf manifold and re-route the fuel lines/air box etc over to the other side of the bay

i think you'll find he's on about the exhaust manifold not the inlet...
your best bet for a cheap fix until you get your custom jobbie is to search on here, edition 38, mk1 golf register, ebay and any others you can think of for second hand 16v conversion four branch manifolds for either the scirocco or the mk1 golf. i picked one up for 60 quid a couple of months back.
