Kind offer Johnny, but once it's gone, it's gone...
Plus now I might get the MG back on the road.

Re: Juddering whilst driving/losing power?
With those symptoms and the recent change to colder/damper weather it could also be carb icing.
Might be worth checking that the warm air feed to the carb is intact and working, and that the carb and 'hedgehog' manifold heaters are working.

Re: a57737 - back to square 1!
Glad to see the car is coming back 'together' - just go steadily on that paintwork as Ant advised and it should turn out OK.
When you know what's missing/needed make a list and i will see what I have knocking about in the garage.
Also can't help but caution again against that engine plan - seems ...

Re: Epic day
Excellent day out as always.
This year even managed a bit of time back at the campsite to watch other people drink beer...
Shame the hotel lot didn't have the trip up to the campsite (though I'm sure you had fun aplenty) as it turned out to be a lovely warm sunny evening.

Re: 256mm brakes and 13" wheels
Never tried, and most people assume 256's need 14", but I am sure KIA (RIP) had 14" wheels over TSR a 270mm conversion, which logically should mean that 13" could be made to fit over 256mm?
Thought most classes allow you to go +1" on wheel size, or am I thinking of width...

Put the original loom back on?
Not joking - were you having any cold starting problems without the cold start valve operating?
My 16v starts better without it, and Sean's wouldn't start with it connected (both being 'bitsa' type cars, which I think yours is now?)
