I’ve been looking at the stainless Jetex on heritage, but wonder if stainless is the right way to go, considering my car never gets wet! I do appreciate they can rot from the inside.

I’m ...

Re: 3D printing and Scirocco parts?

No, the chrome sill trim clips are still available but slightly different.
The ‘Boomerang trim clips’ are like hens teeth.

Iirc about 10 per side are required (for the B post trim also.

Re: 3D printing and Scirocco parts?

Hi, this subject pricked my memory! 1lazza on here (Laurence) was the originator of this - rear quarter clips.
It might be worth contacting him? I did have the file but I can't find it...

I had a go at this sometime ago and the printed material at the time was to brittle to cope. Time and ...

Maybe a silly question?
Do those lower stress bars make a lot of difference? And where do you get them from?

Re: MK 1 Storm - The Money Pit

Holy thread resurrection - literally!
I kind of lost interest in this when photobucket got arsey... now it would appear you can view again?
Well, not much has happened the last two years but I thought I'd update anyway - especially a tale of caution!

I changed the timing belt back in March, new kit ...

The River Blue MK 1 GLI on eBay go last week for £4K! :-o ..
I seem to remember 3K was tops a few years ago for a very good one, and that one (on the bay) although low miles - needed a serious amount of work...?

Re: Spotted

A very nice looking MK 1 in Indiana red V reg I think, passing between Foxfield and Grizebeck (Cumbria) this evening. I was not aware of one living close to me - maybe passing through?
I was in the red Lotus going the opposite way

I was too shocked to have time to flash or wave!!!

Re: Crawling out of the woodwork

I agree with you Sean, the seller does appear especially grumpy - first impressions?

I copied the photo bucket link into my browser and.... It might only be a very low mileage example, wow! It's numbers on a clock at the end of the day. Like the originality and all that, but, it's going to need a 4 ...
