yeah i think thats what he said-timing. just took it for a drive now got tyre sorted and it feels great. so effortless to drive. once its had a good clean inside and out it will be much nicer though.

after a nightmare taxing it, went to drive it and found a flat tyre. had to pump it up last week so a slow puncture it looks like, not happy. still waiting to drive it propely

After dropping in my scirocco into the tuners 2 weeks ago, its been straight through an MOT and passed no problem.

thanks to the hot weather i managed to get the rear carpets out and the front were never wet so all good. i found a load of broken glass under the carpet though from some obvious previous window smash. for some reason my sunroof has stoped working now though. the small bit raises/lowers fine, but ...

whats the best way of getting water out of the footwells? ive been leaving the car with windows open during the day and have used cloth to soak up most of the water. i dont want to lift up the carpets if possible but i dont want trapped water either. any suggestions?

i dont mind having a harsher ride but then again if theres no benefits to aftermarket suspension i'l leave it. i'm new to the whole vw scene so just need to do some research into what are the best places for mods and useful upgrades. just things like brakes i wouldn't know where to start to look for ...

cheers. the handling and brakes are prbo my main concern. brakes are very slow to respond and not very good but the guy i bought it off said something about a complex connecting system designed for LHD to RHD vehicles which might explain the delayed braking. bit wierd to drive and if i have to stop ...

its a 84 blue storm, have to check the mileage but around 140k i think. i'd say near enough mint condition. was dry stord in a barn for 10 years. loads of k spent on in the past to keep it looking and running good. brand new alternator and belts. everything original no mods. i might keep and just ...

Ok my scirocco mk2 storm been sitting for months unused as the steering was a bit dodge, needed new alternator and the revs wre idling at 2000rpm. and when i gave it to mechanics to test it, it came back without first gear, which i can do nothing about. Steering was off when i bought it but hasn't bothered me much... apart from lining the wheels up in parking lol.
