Re: Looking to buy a new distributor cap and rotor arm
Thanks for the info once again Mark and those links, really helpful. :good: I've found one that is identical to mine on the Original Volkswagen Classic Parts site: https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.com/catalog/en_uk/media/intern/ClassicParts/D9E875D2C8C89610_001.jpg I also got an identical rotor ...

Re: Looking to buy a new distributor cap and rotor arm
Thanks for trying to help me out Mark. :good: Definitely no part number on the rotor arm like I said and although I've had another look at the dissy in daylight I couldn't see one on it either. The rotor arm you linked to looks exactly like the one I took off so will get that ordered asap. As for ...

Hi Joost, nice to see you're still around. :beers: I have already looked for part numbers on the ones I've got and too my surprise I couldn't find any on either the cap or the arm. Like you I'd have expected there to be something somewhere. Seeing your comment though made me wonder if I could ...

Re: Ian Croucher - ianaudia4
Apologies for being late to contribute, but I only just picked up the email over the weekend and felt I just had to come onto the forum and mark my respects for a great, great man who will be sadly missed. When I first joined the Register Ian was one of the first people to welcome me on board and I ...

Re: Project Lily - Preservation Through Modification!

Wire brush on the drill and just steady away until it was all gone. :good: Then some rust eater etc before applying primer etc as you would any body repair. Bear in mind the pucka replacement panels are no longer available ... I must ...

Re: bonnet glue?
I know you've said you're not bothered about replacing it, but a point to bear in mind for anyone else thinking of removing their crumbly old soundproofing ... it seems those replacement kits it are not available now.
Just glad I got mine when I did.

Re: Project Lily - Preservation Through Modification!
Had a little bit of a mini meet at ours today with Ian ( ianaudia4 ) and Tony ( mazellann ) coming down for a natter etc. As ever, the guys were eager to get their hands dirty so a few little jobs were undertaken including test fitting a set of GTI lights I’ve had knocking around for some time. Be i ...
