External Fuel Pump Replacement
Trying to find a writeup or some information on how to replace the external fuel pump. Following the Bentley it reads "Remove insulated holder from bracket." Yeah how the heck do you do that? Also how do you manage to replace the fuel expansion tank that's way up on the side of the fuel tank? Do you ...

Re: Crankcase Breather Flange Broken Piece
Well as an update, I dropped the pan, found the piece and installed the new flange. The new flange went in easily so I'm not sure why the old flange wouldn't budge, but I'm guessing it was the o-ring. Interestingly the new flange has a little ear on the end probably to help remove it unlike the one ...

Crankcase Breather Flange Broken Piece
I removed my crank case breather flange today and it probably has never been removed before on my '87 16v. I had to use a rubber mallet to break it free from the side of the block... which worked. But then the round part with the o-ring was still inside the block. I tried pulling it, twisting it ...

Re: Car covers
I know you guys are in the UK, but I have one made by covercraft here in the states and it's AWESOME.
Very soft and perfectly fitted... expensive but eliminates the paint rubbing issues wrote about above.

Cluster Light Replacement
I have a bulb that has burned out on my cluster, it's the blue "high-beam" bulb and am looking for a replacement.
I've found plenty of illumination bulbs for the cluster, but none for the smaller lights that go in the middle of the cluster.
Anyone have a source for a replacement light?

LCD Clock Not Working
Had to pull my cluster to install my speedometer and now my clock isn't working.
All the lights, and everything else works just not the LCD clock.
I didn't notice any wires out of place or anything... anyone know how to fix it or what might have happened?

Re: Coolant Level Relay Toasted From Migrating Coolant
Yes I'm absolutely sure it was coolant. It smelled like coolant on the relay. The sensor that I bought was aftermarket (couldn't find the OEM one) and it leaked through to the plug. So when I pulled the plug from the bottle it was pooled with coolant. The relay was number 18 on my car '87 I've ...

Re: Coolant Level Relay Toasted From Migrating Coolant
Yeah I have a new sensor and tank, probably going to replace the tank just in case. The only place that fluid was visible was actually inside the sensor clip so it must have come up through the prongs :/
Not sure what to do to make sure it doesn't happen again... very weird.

Coolant Level Relay Toasted From Migrating Coolant
So my coolant level warning light came on and I checked the plug on top of the reservoir and there was quite a bit of coolant in the plug itself and on the wires. Well somehow, and I've never seen this before, the coolant actually migrated down the wire all the way inside the car to the relay switch ...
