Thank you. That's a generous offer and it looks great but unfortunately does not have the bracket to hold the throttle cable.
Unless anyone knows a way around this problem?
Thanks

Re: An old rocker never dies!
Looks great.
I have been trying to find some to powder coat my rocker cover on my GTX but with no luck. Where did you get yours done?
Thanks

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
That's a very good point. Thanks. Will give it some time and put some miles on the new brakes.

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
Caliper issus sorted but still bleeding the brakes. Pedal is really good until I start the engine then it goes extremely spongy. Obviously some sort of servo issue but I find exactly what the problem is.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
Agree. Lucky I spotted straight away something not right. Took me a while to discover why so much movement on new calipers.

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
Found the problem!! On the new calipers the sleeves the bolts go through had thinners walls therefore larger bore meaning bolts were not a snug fit and lots of play within the sleeves. Replaced them with sleeves from old calipers and fitted new rubbers sleeves as well. Now a good fit. Now just need ...

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
Have decided the new calipers are not up to the required standard. They mat nor be the root of the bleeding issues but they do not fit lime the old ones. They don't hold the spring clips under any pressure. Clips just loose. I am refurbishingnold calipers. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220803 ...

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
Oh well, still no success. New discs, pads, calipers, master cylinder, news drums and shoes and hoses and slave cylinders at the rear. About 50 litres of brake fluid, pressure bleeding device as well as endlesss hours of 2 man bleeding and the brake are virtually non-existent. Spongy would be a ...

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
Thanks. Someone else suggested could be master cylinder so I have changed it (the old one looked ancient see photo) and I will refilling and bleeding the system tomorrow. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220723/c528ea2c6ca8a521a6fee122f0f77689.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220723 ...

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
Thanks James
Hoses are new and pedal used to be ok with old calipers.
Did you see the photo in my earlier post? What do you think?
Thanks

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
That's helpful thanks. Yes mine have the same problems (not tight to carrier and this leads to movement as only tight to carrier at 2 point (the stainless sleeves. The calipers I bought weren't really cheap. Going to try to find better ones. Maybe Pagid. Thanks Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Re: Brake Bleeding (New Calipers)
Still struggling with this issue but just noticed something. Surely what what have highlighted is not correct? This much should not be visible? I think the sleeve shown is too long so even when the bolt it tightened its against the sleeve but can not bring the caliper rigjtnup to the carrier? I did ...
